Heres some early 1980's pictures of the Connor Brothers 203 Massey SS puller
from Green City,MO...I didn't take these..It came from the factory with a 330 CI flat head
Continental 6..It was changed over to a OHV 427 Continental engine on alky..

This was an NTPA national level 5000 SS tractor but at state pulls it often hooked at
7000,9000,and 11,000 lbs...The belly bar carried 4000 lbs of weight...

The bottom two pictures were from the Kansas State Fair Pull in the early 1980's when
the cast frame broke in half....I was standing beside the track not 50 ft away when
this happened..

203 Masseys are very rare and hard to find..I bought one in 1979 in SW Kansas but don't
have a picture of it..It went to Michigan in 1985....There used to be a 203 Massey from
northern MO that was a classic puller at the MO State Fair in the late 1980's..

Thats a piece of history I wish I could have seen. It's sitting in Shelbyville, Missouri as far as I know in the MF 3505 form it last had. I wondered if you had photos of 203 since you posted the 101sr. Thanks for sharing this photo.

Heres the 203 MH with MF 3505 sheet metal..When Connors sold it,it went to Iowa, then
to Massachusetts, and then to Mike N in Missouri....The Connors said that they would love
to have the 203 back in its original condition as it was pristine..

I assume that its still in the 3505 MF puller thats pictured above..
Its just a 203 Massey with updated sheet metal..

The video shows the name of the owner of the MF3505..He and his daughter
both pull UL/SS tractors with PPL..They are from Shelbyville,MO..Mike is
the last known owner of the 3505 MF.

Good luck..Heres a link to a video of his college age daughter Michaele driving the Dominator Deere..
I saw her make her first ever attempt to drive this tractor and she's came a long ways since then..

I talked with Mike Novinger this afternoon. The tractor is still his but the engine is not a 427 OHV. He believes it was an original 330 with a Conner custom built head with overhead cam. Really exotic. I am looking for a 427 OHV.

When the Connor brothers 203 MH puller was first built Bryan Connor said that it had a T-427 Continental
OHV engine which was the newer version of the old 427 flathead..They later went OHC with it..The reason
its no longer being pulled is that OHC was outlawed about 10-12 years ago..

Connors got the idea to build a 203 MH because Garry Overton in Canada had built one..NTPA let Overton
replace the M-330 with a T-427...

About 10 years ago a friend knew of (2) 427 Continental engines that we're scrapped because no one
wanted them....I have a place I need to check that might have one in a SP chopper..It may be a LeRoi?

Theres a TD-427 Continental on ebay right now...See the link below..

1206, Thanks for the information. Let me know if you locate any 427 OHV's. Continental also built an L-478 gas for FOX as well. Similar to a 478 Hercules but head is different. I found one of these in Iowa in a chopper running and me like an idiot let some one else have it. It is now setting in a 101 Senior and is nearing completion to compete with the antiques next year. Yes the 427 OHV are getting extremely rare. I am building a 44-6 antique and with our local rules we are legal with a 427 OHV. The TD's block and bottom end appear to be nearly the same as the T-427. Don't know if the heads could easily be modified to run gas or not. I wish they could as they are much easier to find than the T-427.
For Massey guys to compete with the Farmall RD's and big Oliver Waukesha's the 6 cylinder Continental OHV engines are needed.

Correction to the above info.
Conners and Overton each built MH203 pullers in 1979/80 without knowledge of each other.
Both were using the M330/363 flathead engines at that time.
In the fall of 1980 Conners won at a NTPA regional pull and their name and tractor model appeared in The Puller.
A little directory assistance and a phone call was made to Green City, this is when Conners and Overton first made contact.
After NTPA gave the approval Conners installed the T427 OHV in 1984, Overton never actually installed a T427 in his tractor.

Thanks

Hi, I have in my garage a 427 T block and head disassembled but mostly complete. I built a 101 with B-427 in it. I sold the tractor in the early 2000s and have engine parts that I would sell. Give me a call 330-429-3247
