Looking for oddball 4.045 diam. flat top piston

Looking for pistons to rebuild a vintage 1928 6cyl low compression engine....the problem is the compression height of 2.75---2.85"
It looks like some of the John Deere pistons might work. Yes, I've called all the major piston manufactures and nobody has anything that "tall".
Farmall, Alice Chalmers, John Deere, doesn't matter which brand.
Asking this group because it looks like--visually at least, the high compression pulling pistons may work and you folks have more experience with these specialized pistons that might fit the bill or be trimmed off on the top to get the height I need..
Possibly the raised areas around the dished tops could be turned off to create a flat top??
Just looking for a solution or good advice.
Thanks !!

1903bluepill I don't know where you might find and pistons to fit those specs. Coupla different routes to take is to buy the short car pistons which are 4.045 and cut and weld the rods to get the right height. Another fix is to bore the block to 4.125 and use Farmall 450 pistons which I believe are 3.000 or there abouts compression height. Sleeve it and bore to 4.000 inch and use standard Super M or 400 pistons or sleeve it and bore it to 3.875 and use M pistons. Can cut off the tops to get whatever height you want. Can always have custom pistons made. Lynn

Thanks, considering all options. Was hoping to modify an existing piston to save some $$$
Custom pistons are running $250-$300 each...ouch.
