656 With a DT466?

I have an international 656 at home and I have a DT 466 at
home that I am wanting to put in it. Anybody out there ever
done this that can give me a detailed parts list of what I need
to get to change on my tractor? I am already aware of the
frame rails, back engine plate, and timing cover, but what
about the clutch and pressure plate or anything else? Any
help from you guys would be appreciated.

What's your ultimate goal? How much power? What weight class? What gear?
One of my neighbors put a DT360 in a 666, that's a little simpler.
You'll have to lengthen the frame rails and hood as the 466 is slightly longer.
I'm not 100% sure what flywheel/pressure plate you'll need, but don't cheap out on the clutch, if you can't afford to put enough clutch in the first time don't bother doing the swap.

Ultimate goal is a pulling tractor. Leaving engine stock for
now, just turning up the pump and a bigger turbo. I
understand the rails and hood, I already have plans for that.
What my actual question though is bolting the engine to
tranny, what needs to be done. As for the clutch, I am
planning on getting a 6 button clutch.

You're going to have find the engine rear and front plates out of a 666 or 686 diesel to get your 466 bolted in. What are you doing with the TA? Unless someone has some fancy multidisc dry clutch to put in there I don't think that little 7 inch clutch is going to like it.

I have doubts about your 6 button clutch holding, the one down the road with a otherwise stock dt360 with a charger and a bunch of fuel was slipping a 2 disc clutch. Around here stock dt466's with a good 11mm rotary pump and the stock charger are around 300 hp and some guys have trouble with the 14 inch clutch holding in the 1066's so they're going to two disc clutches.

How heavy do you plan to go. A double disc would probably hold at 9000 if you stay under 300 HP but much more you should probably go three disc.

Your clutch will be the biggest problem holding,A triple disk may have to be used.Had a friend had a 666 with a 360 and could not hold a heavy duty stock clutch.
