Lightweight front John deere A

Looking to lose some weight on my 52 A. I have been trying to search the forum because I know this has come up but I'm having no luck. Anyway right now it's 4700 depending on the scale. I'd like to lose at least 200 pounds if possible. Does anyone have pictures of front ends they have built? Or is there a light wide front that can be used? I remember seeing what factory farmer was working on a couple years ago and liked it. It looked like a pretty simple set up. This off season she is going under the knife I'm just trying to come up with the best plan. I'm thinking custom front end is going to be the lightest so that's what I'd like to get built but I know guys have used smaller tractor fronts as well but I'm wondering cost wise which is more effective.
Thanks guys

Get the bow gears turned down. Will save you close to 80 lbs. Then the differential will get you another 30. Reduction gear will get you 10. Loose the fan shaft and put an
electric fan on it, go to an aluminum radiator, cut the axles and use weld on hubs will get you another 100, turn the axles down or go to hollow ones. Use a pipe for steering
shaft in pedestal and cut half of that out. Aluminum flat back, cut out all the pto stuff. Before you know it you will be at 4000. We have 2 G's that are under 4200.

John deeres are pretty light in the front to start, you would be better off takeing weight
off the back of the tractor, it will balence better in the lighter class's for you.You should
easily get under #4500 with tin wheels, flat back & a few other items removed. If your
tractor has a roll-matic front, id swap that off for a solid one & small front tires, get the
front low

So far it's got pressed steel wheels, the fan shaft removed and the stock intake removed but that's it for weight savings. The main reason for thinking custom front end was to lower it and I figure that even though it's losing front weight to put weights on the front the weight would do more work out of the bracket than on the pedestal. I do have a split pedestal I bought a long time ago to put a wide front on and haven't got around to it. Weld on hubs and cutting the axles down is in the plans but I didn't think I'd lose as much as you guys say from just that. I'm trying to pull 4500 and we have 200 pound grace around here so I'm not that far from having enough movable weight. I have been pulling 5500 and 7000 but lately there's too many bigger tractors with way too many cylinders for me to compete at 7000 anymore haha. Why do they need those extra jugs anyhow? Would save me alot of money if I could find a straight front and I could put the money into an aluminum flat back. How hard is it to change the hubs to run aluminum front rims?

Msd, do you have any pics of your cut down pedestal? I'm getting weld on hubs and most likely an aluminum flat back from Tim this fall. I don't need to lose alot more our smallest class is 4500 around here

I don't have any pictures of one but the one's I've seen done they just cut a section out up and down and leave enough for support. Your discretion there.

Just a little follow up, I got the aluminum cover hitch on this weekend. Lost 220 pounds, I would have never thought there was that much to lose with one piece.
