John Deere 730 diesel

Any body know what to do with these eye brows in the intake valve ports of head I am in the process of porting and polishing the head and port blending from head to manifolds I can using the old Intake and exhaust manifold gaskets to match the ports to the manifolds I am planning on having the seats cut out to put in valves from an 830 but I am in sure of what to do with the eye brows I believe the 730 heads only have them all the 720 heads I have seen do not have these eye brows I took some pictures I hope they upload and second who in the Minnesota area can cut out old seats and machine out intake and exhaust to fit 830 valves I was told it can be done with careful machining thanks in advance

Are you certain the Head with the eye-brows is not a Gas Head..?

Every JD 2-Cyl Diesel head I've seen is basically Flat..

The entire INTAKE passages from the valve, to the Air Cleaner need to be enlarged..

I Love to watch those videos of the "Strutin" 2.cylinder pullers..

I believe he is talking about the knob under or behind the valve seating area. I would just grind it back and make the best turn toward the valve as you can. Those heads already dont have any port velocity making stuff bigger will only make it worse.
