Looking for head studs for an unstyled A and at deere's price of $70 dollars each i guess i'll look elsewhere . I called jeff at murphy's and they dont have them for the us A tractors . Any ideas i'm thinking of looking in mcmaster or fastenal .

36 A I used some from MSC Direct on styled A last summer. Medium carbon steel should be grade 5 and torqued to 150 ft lbs. The unstyled show 6 1/2 in I would order 7 in and screw them almost all the way in. 7/8 in short end. Part number 86776739. $4.11 each. Lynn

The studs you need for your !936 A are special. The stud end that screws into the block is a rolled thread as to seal the water from coming up the stud. The same goes for your manifold studs. You can have them made, but you have to use a adjustable die on the block end of the stud.
