Super H Options

I recently got a 53 Super H. It is a good running tractor, however it is completely stock. I am wondering what I can do to get more HP out of it and make it more into a puller. My plans are to use it at local shows, nothing major. I just want a tractor I can be somewhat competitive with. I have seen quite a bit of information on how to increase the HP on a regular H, but there isn't much info on the Super H, so any input would be helpful. Thanks!

We bored a 300 block to 3 7/8, took some off the top of the block, filled the block almost full, and put 88 Oliver M&W pistons in it. It runs nice in "stock" classes. This will NOT work with regular H blocks. It might with the Super. gm

If you still want it to be farm use reliable, then putting an overbore kit in with high compression pistons and some head work is about all you can do.

When you say you used a 301 piston, did you have to bore the block out any after pulling the sleeves or shave the deck on the block a little? As for the wrist pins, did you use just regular 350 connecting rods and pins? If you didn't bore the block, did the lip where the sleeve sets in the block cause any trouble when running the tractor or loose compression? Reason I ask is I have an M I pull but been wanting to start a new project to pull in the lighter classes. Thanks in advance.

Anyone wanting to use 301 pistons for an H farmall better plan on adding stroke. The compression height is an inch shorter.
