Lincoln NATPA

Had a good day in Lincoln, day started out dreary but sun came out and warmed up for the afternoon. 350+ Hooks, Pretty good considering the weather just north and west of Lincoln. Dale Nelson, Terry Valcan, Tadd Warm, Jeff Brabec and their extensive crew did a great job as usual. I'll get photos posted in a few days. Congrats to Fred Grahlherr on his 4750 5mph Jackpot win and to Darrell Kusgen for his win in the 5250 8mph Jackpot also.

I always have a good time at Lincoln. It looked to me like everything went well and as always the pull crew did a super job. I only saw Darrell pull once or twice but his 5 star was definitely hauling the mail! Sounded like a few of the G's were running B rpm's! Na, couldn't be!

Last time I checked NATPA still has rpm rules on the books that pertain to all makes. Don't you think the green tractors have to abide by these rules along with the other colors? Why do the jd people think they are so discriminated against? They have way more parts available compared to many other makes. Personally I like 4 and 6 cyl. engines and feel they have much more reliable performance potential. I guess a person isn't entitled to have a preference according to you. I have driven both and much prefer an 400/700/800/830 Case to a 70/720/30 jd.

With ALL due respect sir , you really didn't answer my question. And I totally agree with you that the case tractors you referred to are better performers than the JDs. you spoke of. So I have no problem with your preference.

I wasn't able to make it this year but I could tell from here that they were running 2133 maybe 2138 rpm at the most. You must be sugar coating things for the deere's. You should have protested them. Or aren't your tractors in the same class?

It's almost like people come on the internet just to instigate trouble when there really isn't, but I can't believe that would happen.

Thanks Bryan for the update and photos.

I simply made the comment that some of the deeres were over on rpm's, maybe some of the four and six cyl tractors were also, if so shame on all of them. You are the one who made me out as a biggot towards jd tractors, no they are not my favorite however I have no problem with them pulling however they are not exempt from the rules, as for protesting they were in div.4 I wasn't, it was Bob Bryans 5 star that knocked me back to second in the 5500. I have no problems with a Minnie just because he beat me as long as he was pulling with the same rules as everyone else.
