Tractor pulling

I have a john deere 4010 any tips out there to help me. We have a turbo and propane kit and pushing around 200 horse pump is just turned up and noting done to it.

Is that 200hp on a dyno or a mouth-dyno?
Tuning on a dyno is the best thing you can do. Very often people over fuel diesels thinking that's a good thing. Then the mouth dyno shows 200 horsepower when the real dyno shows 85hp.

turbo pullers at our club push 800 or better don't think 200 pulling turbo class at ours would do well . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xy27RXJVy00 take a look.

(quoted from post at 02:00:22 03/18/16) even if you removed the eyebrow in the port get rid of the junk head the 4010 had to obtain some airflow
What head would suggest? 55 series isn't wide enough to seal the push rod gallery and catch the rocker oil supply hole.

200 on the pto dyno won't even keep up with the naturally aspirated 4010's in our stock class. And they can't keep up with a good running turbo'd 268 Ford.

What class are you pulling and what are the rules...In my area 200 horses is all you need to be competitive in a 8000 lb or 10,000 lb 10 MPH class..

HI I just watched the video in the link you posted, Can it be proved that the tractor like I just watched is actually 800 hp. or is this a guy talking in the pits that owns a tractor, at a pull with a big mouth just saying thats what it is in front of a crowd.Kinda like the big fish story.

As has been said before what a guy says and gets are 2 different things without a proper dyno test. I have out pulled tractors with big smoke and supposed big hp, with at a high estimate of around 200 or so hp from my tractor,as the next puller in a new class, with the same sled settings as the 4-600 hp plus boys.

either they don't have as much as they say or you don't always need mega horsepower you maybe cant get hooked to the track to get the sled to the top. My tractor had a 510 perk v8 truck motor, revved 300 over stock to the 2800 limit and a small ish turbo added. that motor was 160hp from Perkins specs before the turbo was added and it burned fairly clean so not over fueled, it had no PTO so i couldn't dyno it so thats why we guess around 200hp for it's numbers. I doubt it was as high as 230 hp with what was done.
