allis suitcase weights

I asked on the allis board but haven't got a response. Are allis suitcase weights that fit a 7000 series worth anything? If so how much?

I gave $65.00 each for some 100 lbs ones. Cousin runs a scrap yard, he had over 2 ton of them laying around, had been trying to get 100.00 each for them. He bit the bullet and hauled the rest to the scrapper.

I've got 65lb Allis weights I use for pulling. I gave $35 for the ones I bought and I have 32 of them.
Those all came off of a 7020 or 7040.

A lot depends on weight and shape. Some styles do not hang well : are hard to secure: or are too heavy to be practical. Those are not worth much. Some are quite desirable and will generate a dollar a pound.

Why didn't he try to sell them for 50 cents a pound--He would of sold them and he would have been $$$ ahead ???

I use the 63 lb. Ones. Think the 90's are to heavy. Are easier than ihc to take off and on. To answer your question. Can be either one, but most likely 60's. A dollar a pound gets you steel 50lb.ones exactly. With welded rod handles. So don't pinch your fingers.
