Kill Switch

If you are talking about a "dead man" switch to hook to the sled then just a four prong trailer connector would work. You mount the male end on the tractor and then attach a loop of light wire rope to the female end. The female end will clip to the sled. The female end is the end that normally hooks to the trailer when it is used for the lights and such. Cut the power connection to the coil/ignition system and wire this in. When the female end is pulled out you will kill the tractor. That's what I see on the go fast pulling tractors where I am at. You might want to check to see if the pulls you go to require any special type of switch.

I would use the male end to hook to the sled and the female end hook to the tractor, that way there are no live wires exposed that might accidently be shorted and cause issues.

Thank you for the info looking bring my tractor back and pull it here and there I read that they are required to run on the natpa pulls

I use break away switch off of a trailer. You ground it to the tractor and run a wire to the coil and when it comes out it will kill the tractor.
