Was wondering what flywheel and clutch I'd need and any
other info, wanting to try and get project going

Your 880 bell housing, backing plate, flywheel, clutch will all work on the 310. There's something you have to do to the water pump also I don't remember exactly might just had to run a smaller fan. If you have the over / under and want just the straight drive shaft then a bell housing from a 770, 880, 1600, 1650,1550 will work

Its been a while but seems like you use a clutch from a 75 or so 400 Chevy 4x4. We used a 77 flywheel so had to drill and tap new holes. Be sure and balance everything.

A flywheel from a 283 (1655) will fit inside an 880 bellhousing and will allow you to run a 12" clutch

I just used 88 bellhousing,clutch,flywheel had to make upper radiator hose and a 77 fan blade
