Closer. The hood is challenging. But I'm going to finish it this month. The motor is free, but know nothing else. Can't wait to see if will run. LCB lookout. Not really but hope to at least make your pot bigger. Lol. Vic

Nice job. You need to post some pictures once you get it finished and a video of it pulling. It might need a bit of work on the internals to catch up to the IH's. If I could find one of the big AC engines (6138 series gas or diesel) a D19 project might be in order.

thats a neat engine swap!
IH has an answer for this lite weight brute tho! just too bad usap wont let turbo on em yet. lol happy new year!

They 6138 are as big as a 14 liter Cummins. I looked at a motor in a N7. It is to big also. The 426 is big enough, size wise. But you are right. Need more power! I'm going to take the head to a flow bench, and change the can first. Then in a year or so big pistons and as long a stroke as will turn inside. Then maybe be as powerful as a stock red one. LOL. Wouldn't be any fun if was easy!

I'm not convinced an engine build of the same displacement can't keep up with the IH's. I believe the AC people build these up to 640 cubes and run turbos on them in more serious pulling. I'm not saying the block will be as strong, but with a naturally aspirated engine it shouldn't be a problem. Go get em!
