Ford inline 6

Has anyone had any experience with putting a ford inline 6 in a Oliver? And if so, has anyone attempted to turbo it? Just looking to hear if anyone has ever done this. I'm thinking of putting on in an Oliver 77.

what's the advantage with going with the ford over the Waukesha after all it will have to be adapted .I'm sure an engine builder can get just as much horsepower out of either . if your going to run modified classes V8 somewhere around 625 hp will get you in the small block classes, where I pull, and over 400 cu in will get you a lot more and into the big block classes .

My buddy put a 300 six in his 70, but no turbo. It worked out pretty well for him, once he got a bigger clutch in it.

I had a 77 with one,stock,5300 rpm, forged steel crank from factory, capable of 1000 hp. A short Saab oil filter allows side shields with no issues.Dblair,-- where are you with V8 pulling,I want to pull with some new guys.Thx. My 300 with home made header was fun,but stock carb limited hp,pulled in open with not much competition.sounded just like a Bronco.LOL

Why not a Chevy 292? You can find more goodies to build up a Chevy 292 easier than a Ford 300 and at less money.
