deadman throttle

I'm putting a deadman throttle on my tractor this winter just looking for control cable options-any suggestions are appreciated. It will need a cable approx. 48in in length. Thanks

What does that mean? A deadman throttle is a safety feature, and should be on any pulling tractor, in my opinion.

I hooked mine up using a rod. Cables are available at many tractor supply stores and truck parts suppliers.

From Motor Cycle language...a "Deadman throttle" is one that stays where ya put it, so you can take your hand off the throttle and it stays where ya left it...

Guess you have a different meaning to that..???

Ron..

In tractor pulling, "dead man throttle" had always meant a throttle that returns to idle when it's released.
