straight block bore to 4 5/8?

can someone tell me if a straightblock from a 41 u capable of being bored to 4 and 5/8 and still being able to use water?

Don't think so. Boring near half an inch would be very thick sleeves.

But you can bore them to 5 1/2 and use Cummins sleeves and pistons from a radial airplane engine. I have not done it but I have a friend who has. M5 or newer blocks are already 4 5/8 can bore to 4 3/4. I have done this. Makes 423 with a G crank.(6) .

But do m5 jugs bolt on an old straight block crank case?

You have a one piece block? I don't know. But M5 crankcase and blocks would be cheaper to work with.

Yeah 1 piece. I know it would be easier but I don't have one to use or prolly the money to get one at this time. Thanks
