natpa Tallmadge ?

Tallmadge is on as scheduled, March 12, 2016. The Wichita pull is off the schedule, the Kansas Coliseum has been closed. Looking forward to the NATPA event in Corunna this weekend, always good to see everyone again after a summer outdoors.

Bob DeBerg reported on 10/15 that Tallmadge was cancelled.

Rich

Wichita, KS and Tallmadge, OH have cancelled their pulls for this season. The board and promoters are looking for other locations at this time. A pull in Waterloo, Iowa (Cattle Congress Grounds) February 13th is looking very promising. We will keep you up dated on other changes and hope to see you all in Corunna, MI. October 17th and Mason, MI. October 31st.

Jerry Leek handed over the reins to myself, my brother Todd, Danny Schmucker and my cousin David to take over Tallmadge. John Cochran is the man on the fairboard we had to go through. I had sleds, sponsors, meal, track prep equipment and track scraper (Ted Ferguson) lined up so we would have a well maintained track, without the dip at the end like last year. Ohio CAT had planned to donate a very large wheel loader and a large skid steer to remove the dirt from the building. John miscommunicated to the fairboard that nothing was handled and ready to go, when in fact, everything was, months ahead of time. The following weekend the scheduled national garden tractor pulls have also been kicked off the schedule due to John's bullheadedness. I have been told by other fairboard members he will be gone after this year, he is a serious problem, they feel terrible and they apologized for his actions of not telling the truth about what had been handled and taken care of. I personally am extremely upset, due to months of phone calls, donations and scheduling to be tossed out the window because of one "loose cannon" guy with an ego problem to ruin what had been and was shaping up to be the best Tallmadge yet. Hopefully he will be gone next year and we will see what happens.
