400-450 fast hitch

Hey guys would a fast hitch on a 400-450 IH work
for pulling I'm looking at one what would be a fair
price? Thanks a bunch!!

Not very well. Too far behind the axle and would have to have some way to prevent it from riding up and down. If you're pulling on a very long chain, the long drawbar will not be as much of a factor, but, still needs to be stationary.

If it is a true 400 or 450 will also be right for SMTA it is worth at least a $1000 but they are different on the 60 series.

I pull a 450 in stock farmer and local farm class and pull off of the standard d drawbar set at 18 inches. If you use a fast hitch it has to be fixed so it doesn't move. It will pull better from the standard drawbar.
