what is the range of same block size c-221 to what? trying to determined what would be the biggest motor I can drop into 460 without major problems,

if allowed, you can drop in a 263, or a 301. just change rear plate, flywheel and clutch.

A c-301 is a bolt on ready engine but you will have to use
everything that was bolted to the c-221 for it to fit , if
you want more RD engines can be installed with double the
cubic inch displacement .
