Lost D17 AC

I am looking a D17 Allis Chalmers I built several years ago. Last time I saw the tractor it had a good paint job and had little 10 or 12 inch tires (tractor rib tires) on a 2 wheel narrow front. I heard that it left North Carolina and was sold south of here in either South Carolina or Georgia. The person (won't call him a man) I sold it two is a 2 faced you know what and will not tell me or anyone else where it went. If I could get it back it would have a home as long as I did. I regretted selling it the first day. I am disabled now and have a 16 year old young man who helps me around the house and farm. He has expressed an interest in pulling a few times. If I could get it back home it would be his as long as I'm around and probably after I'm gone also.
The tractor was just a little hotter than stock but not super. I sold it about 13 years ago so everything on it is obsolete but I still would like it under my shelter again.
I could identify the tractor I'm sure. Like most others, there are several little things I could check that would be unique to that tractor.
If anyone has any information on a tractor that might fit this description, I would certainly appreciate your help. Even if I couldn't buy the tractor, I would just have pleasure in knowing where it's at.
Thanks for reading this and I would be very appreciative for any help.

I may be out of line here, but, when one sells something it is no longer theirs. This means the buyer can do whatever he wants with his new toy. This can include melting it down. Who he sells it to is no longer any of your business.

You certainly have an right to your opinion. As you said in your post, it is none of your business. I never said the buyer didn't have the right to sell the tractor but only that he was wrong for not helping with a little bit of information.
Again, it is none of your business and it's posters such as you that cause trouble on this and other forums.

Gee, johnpop1, those are some pretty hard statements to give to a gentleman who is admittedly disabled and possibly elderly, who is trying to reminisce and hang onto a few pleasant and happy memories. And maybe help out a kid with a piece of equipment that he built, and both of them have a good time making new memories, if the tractor eventually became available. Boo, boo to you!

You say "I have a right to my opinion" but you then say that you don't like what I have to say. I say "too bad". This is a public forum and if I have something that needs to be said, I will voice my opinion. After 6 or 7 decades, I will voice my opinion and share whatever I have learned over these years. Good luck finding the tractor. I do understand where you are coming from. I have been there more than once.

It will be much easier and just as enjoyable to find a similar D17 or modify one to to suit your needs.

Hey geb, ss55 is right! You and the young man can make new memories, and have a great time 'looking for another tractor' to work on. Forget the detractors. You and the young guy have a great time!

Good fortune!
