6v vs 12v ignition

Is there really a difference when building a div 2 puller using a good working 6v ignition compared to a 12 volt ignition? Either one would be upgraded to electronic ignition no points. Would just be a stock stroke standard pop up piston over bore build. Is there really more hp to be found with the "hotter" spark from a 12v system in a build like that?

6V will require twice the amperage to build a similar coil voltage than a 12V, thus I would go 12V if want a really hot spark.

Manufacturers went to 12v for better starter operation/ higher comp. engines and lights, not to jump that huge .030-.035 gap and make more hp. The re-build you mention isn't anything more than a farmer would have done on first rebuild to go back out and farm another 30 yrs with. Do what you want but it's nothing you'll notice.
