What's the difference between the different types ? I have seen four different types . I've got a pair of 12,4 38 just say field and road . Just picked up a set of 13,6 38 say gum dipped that are the same height as the 12,4's .and a set of 13,6 38 151's and the are taller and wider . Then a set that say field and road in big letters . Why so many ?

gum dipped is much older, age of tires, cost of tires all companies have had and still do havehigher quality on some, highest cost are bigger, wider, heavier.

All traction field and road 151 was the premium tire that most came out on new tractors. Plain field and roads where a cheaper replacement tire that was not as wide or tall and might of had a few less bars. The gum dipped might be the deep treads also a premium tire

field and road was the cheap tire. all traction field and road, original equipment tire had heavier and deeper lugs and casing. deep treads, premium tire with a much heavier casing and much heavier built and deeper lugs. these were the choices on the original style of 23 degree tires.
