Hello,
Looking for feedback as to demand for a purpose built M Farmall engine.
I am considering the possibility of making a new engine block, cylinder
head & crankshaft package. Estimated package cost 15-18K
Please call or email with comments or questions.
Thanks
Jeff

Let me clarify. This will be a PURPOSE built block, head & crankshaft package.
Meaning 5-5.125 bore,8"+ crank & head. A stock block modified to 5.125" bore
is expensive, somewhat prone to water leaks, and not the most reliable. My thoughts
are this block having 5 mains, a real rear seal, LARGE bore, thick deck & probably a
slightly relocated cam. The new heads you mentioned will not work on an engine of this
size & stroke unless you want to burn diesel fuel. It needs a head that will get rid of
compression and has much better flow potential.

This has been done by G-tool has made pattern for a complete engine, billet crankshaft, rods, head and I think he even did a cam also. His was a 5 main block and look completely stock.

I might be wrong,, but I don't think the G-Tool block had water, and I don't think it was NTPA legal.
This block will be both.

(quoted from post at 17:16:38 06/12/15) You may want to not throw $$ number around till you look at what it takes to do casting and all machine work.

You should know who he is before you make comments. He knows the cost and wants to gauge the market.

The G-Tool Block was to tall and solid. This "NEW" Motor has been okayed by the NATPA to run in DIV.s III and up. And yes I knew about it but I kept my mouth shut till now. P.S. That was really hard for me to do! LOL!
