Hand held Radar Guns

Wondering about one for a speedometer. Has anyone tried one. Will they give continuous mph readings? They are less than $100.

I dont know about that but my Gps does that, and so does a free app for a smart phone, but only where it has signal.

From a law enforcement users end, it will not work for you for a several reasons. The radars will not give continuous readings, they are point and shoot so to speak. They are made to be the stationary object reading the moving object. They also only report in whole numbers, so you would not get any tenths reading which I know is important.

What do you intend to use it on? Modern electronic bicycle speedos are pretty good, I have fit them to early motorcycles and dirtbikes. All you need is a rotating part to affix a magnet to and then calibrate it.

if you look up some specs on them most aren't calibrated for our slow speeds. I've had the same thought your having but I guess some one will have to win a cheap one on eBay and give it a whirl.
