Super 88 in the 4500?

How light have you guys gotten your Super 88 gas tractors down to? I just picked up a Super 88 Id like to set up for pulling and pull in the 4500 class, and have it weight about 4150 or less if possible. I want to run tin wheels and probably 16.9 38 tires. It has the slow gears in it. Is it worth switching the 66 narrow front on it?

Start out with tin wheels on the front and rear. If you need to loose more, take out the PTO, belt pulley drive and hydraulic unit it it's equipped with them.

I doubt that you will benefit from the 66 front pedestal. Around here on hard biting tracks, tough sleds, etc. you will need the weight on the nose to keep it down.
