Richmond Antique Pull Press Release

The Battle of the Bluegrass (BOB Series) is gearing up for the 7th Annual Bluegrass Antique Super Pull, being held March 20-21, 2015, at the Madison County Fairgrounds, indoors, in Richmond, KY.

“We are getting a lot of calls and feedback, and we are hoping to make this event the largest one we have hosted in Richmond,” said BOB Series CEO Tom McConnell. “The pull is the highest paying Antique Pull in the United States, with nearly $5,000 in guaranteed prize money being offered.”

The paybacks at the Richmond Pull are second to none in the Antique world. On Friday, the guaranteed money classes, paying the following purse of $200, $100, $100, $50, $50, and $50 are the 4000 3.5(16.9), and the 5000 6 MPH (18.4). Jackpot Classes on Friday are the 5500 3.5, and the 5000 3.5(15.5).

On Saturday, the guaranteed money classes are the 4500 3.5 MPH(16.9) and the 5500 3.5 MPH(16.9). The Jackpot classes for Saturday are the 5000 12 MPH(18.4) and the 6000 6 MPH(18.4).

The “Baddest Antique Tractor in the World” features two classes, one each night, with a guaranteed purse of $500, $300, $200, $100, $100, $100, $50, $50, and $50. On Friday Night, the class will be the 5000 8 MPH(18.4) and on Saturday Night the class will be the 6000 8 MPH (18.4). “The Baddest Antique Tractor in the World is the biggest money guaranteed in the World to these tractors, and bragging rights is what it is all about,” commented McConnell.

The Richmond Antique Pull has made some class changes this year that will allow for more classes and tire types to compete. “We added some different tire classes that basically allow for everyone to have several classes that they can compete and be competitive in. We think the changes will make for a bigger show, and better competition,” commented McConnell.

Sounds like a good pull for small tractors. Maybe will be warm enough to get Racketty Boom to start!

Are you charging a gate fee to the pullers. It is a good 4 hours for me and this is what will make my decision on weather to make the trip or not.

You are not alone. There are several in my area feel the same way about charging the pullers gate fee. Not to good of a way to show pullers appreciation for showing up.

What is the payback on all the other classes 50% how many places? Jackpot classes payback % and how many places? Thanks!

If you have to charge gate fees to have a good pay back how or the other pulls that I go to making it work with out charging pullers gate. Any way you wont see me there because must be charging gate or some body would have posted. Not the money just my feelings. If we don't show how can they charge any body when they don't have any thing to watch.

I believe that this pull has a lot of extra money added, hook fees do not pay insurance, facility rental, and all that goes with added money classes.

Added money is promoters decision to give incentive for more pullers to show up. If they wasn't making money they would not be there . When you go,count the people ,tractors, amount of hooks,do the math and see if the pullers should be charged for showing up.
