Tire size ? for anyone pulling a B.N.

pulling transfer sled how much motor will I need to run 16.9x24 tires in 2600-2750-3000 classes. I assume I will have to run first gear. Any other sizes that u would recommend, or comments Thanks.

We pull a BN with 16.9x24 tires. We have never dynode it so I don't know the horse power, a guess would be maybe 40. First gear at 2200RPM it runs 6 MPH. There are pic on the facebook forum also there is a utube video of it and a H double tree pulling. The best advise I can give is to learn to balance the tractor. We have front middle & back weight brackets. We also have weights from 75# to 5#. Remember to put the drivers weight on the left side first, then balance from there. WE put the drivers weight on the Back left.
If you do any motor work, I think you get the most for your dollar by doing head work. If you make it breath it will gain the most. If you do head work don't forget the carb.,& the intake.
