12 port head wont bolt on a 88 block

Besides the cam being different (as pointed out) the head bolt pattern doesn't match up. Normally, when running the 12 port head, the seven main bearing block is used.

I have a 12 port head with intake-exhaust manifold. Has had mild port and polishing job. $1,000. Located in NC.
