Gear reduction starters

Try Rare Electric on Ebay, they may not have a listing, but they can probably find one.

Starters are as generic as socks.
Look in the Delco Remy catalog for tooth pitch, rotation and bolt pattern.
Then again the factory 6Volt starter supplied with 12V through 2/00 cables from a group 31 battery should wail the engine over.
As long as a gasser rotates it should start. Odds are right now the electrical system voltage drops too low to spark the plugs during the compression stroke.
Too small battery and cables maybe the problem.
Has the tractor been converted to 12V and equipped with bypass starting?

You can Google it and start looking but I found Lemmons to be as cheap as any. They were about 350.00 and most places were 400 to 450. I think they pull a hot 300u also.

Hy-Torque in California has 3 models and custom cuts the drive end from a block of aluminum. I have one on an M. Here is the number 888-244-8675. just fyi, having good cables of the correct size and clean connections will make a big difference. I had a tractor with the battery way out front and had about 10 feet of cable. Also had a push button on the steering post. The engine did not crank well. I moved the battery under the gas tank used about 3 feet of cable and put a solenoid in. It now cranks over with no trouble
