1950 B. How much, and which end of a stock block would you machine off? Just brain storming right now. Thanks[/list]

Well...neither....Lengthen the Rods if you must..or, get a Mega Block from "Extreme"..up to 6 1/8" for a "B" then STROKE that puppy..!

Don't take any off the head mating surface- the head stud
holes are barely sufficient as it is. You can't remove enough
from both ends together plus the head, to fix the compression.
Until the piston is very near the head, it's just doesn't change
much. And with a factory head you have that huge head
volume besides. Longer rods or custom pistons are the proper
fix. Stroking it is the best option but it's expensive & lots of
work/time.

Absolutely they are! Harder to find every day. They fit on late B's also but then you need the 50 head, manifold& carb. & a few trinkets.
