2015 PA State Farm Show Antique Tractor Pull

2015 PA State Farm Show Update,

All entries to the Antique pull on 01/14/2015 are closed, This has been the best turn out since I took over the pulls, it becomes more popular every year, so with that comes a few changes I need to make, and I ask for all the pullers to understand, I hate to turn anyone away or give them the bad news that they cannot pull, all the entries I received came in before the deadline, so I have to say thank you for getting them mailed back in on time, but the turn out (especially in the 5000 & 6000 came in after December 8) has put me over the limit of hooks the farm show likes me to have for the time frame that I have for this event, so I am going to except all the entries this year so that everyone that has entered gets a chance to pull at the 2015 farm show, but with that, I will need to ask for everyone to understand that all entries that were received after December 8 will only be allowed to hook 1 time, and I will start with the last entry and work backwards eliminating the second hook (highest weight class entered) till I meet the allowed number of hooks permitted.

(Example: if your in the 4000 & 5000 lb class you will be only pulling in the 4000 lb class, if your in the 5000 & 6000 lb class you will only be pulling in the 5000 lb class)

There will be some pullers pulling twice if 1) there entry came in before December 8, or 2) they are pulling 2 different tractors once, 3) or they are in one of the smaller classes that didn't get cut.

Most of the hooks that will be cut to one will be in the 5000 & 6000 lb classes, they are in the area of 50 hooks each and that is the majority of the entries that came in after December 8.

Also I will be calling a few pullers that have entered more than one tractor that they will need to let one of them sit at home to give others a chance to pull, I have talked this over with the farm show and this is the fairest way to make it work out for this year, changes for next year have already been made and will be announced at the drivers meeting on Wednesday, and I really hope everyone can understand that my main thing I want to do is 1) give everyone I can a chance to experience pulling at the PA State Farm Show, 2) Put on the best pull I can for the pullers and spectators and 3) most importantly let everyone have a good time.

Thanks for your understanding

Ray

I know how hard it is to put on a pull n I'm not coming to this event but I can tell you one thing , if the pull was this close n I found out I can only pull one time I'd never come agian, and I personally hate it when I take off work n drive to pulls and then and only then they change how it's to be done on hook limits or classes becouse I may not of wanted to waste my time off on the event under those cercomstances and have never went back and find out later the pull is so low on numbers that they end up losing the pullers who did come n pull , so guess I'm just giving in site on why u need to not change what was advertised at ladt min or at pull cause u may regret it n future . Just my thoughts lee b

Yes I understand Lee, I'm have the same thoughts as you, were still trying to think of a different way but as of this time to make it work this is the only way, and being that its a free pull and no charge to hook or park, i'm hoping all will understand.

Will you publish the class entries before the day of the pull?

People should know before they arrive which classes they are expected to pull. Also if I were pulling I would prefer to pull at my lightest weight.

I thought the mailing/email list was to regulate this especially from the large turn out last year?Parking for this is already a challenge.I do really like pulling at this event and I appreciate what you have done to get it this far but I hope everyone gets there hooks in.
