Lets talk tires

Two questions - I picked up an old pair of tires made by Sears. Did Armstrong make tires for Sears? Also it seems pullers want old and hard tires. Why?

old and hard bite better on hard tracks,dig more if you will. Those are just two factors to consider.

Sears actually makes few of their products. One of the established companys builds items and puts sears brand or name on them. Same is true with other chains. the previous old and hard answer is accurate. as far as who made the tires; if you look around at some of the other brands; you should be able to decide who made them. Most manufacturers have identifiable characteristics.
