Adhere tire to rim?

How about a little more background info. What kind of tire, pressure, rim, weight class, how fast are you pulling, hp, etc...?

I always had concerns about it so I always left the beads dry when we seated them, never had trouble, that and we didn't air the tires down low either, about a 1000 horse hot farm Deere in road gear and a little faster. Track speed is usually around 25mph. Ran a set of 20.8-38 Firestone radial all traction, about 50% tread and lately a road worn sharp set of BFG radials.

1950 farmall H stock. With low first I run 6500# class on our tracks here. I find it does better when I run 6-7 psi but I usually hear a squeeky bead right after. After the pull I'll air them up to 20 psi and drive on the road for a few miles and that usually reseats them. They are 11.2-38's. I'm looking to get 13.6-38's on M rims.

i couldn't see stock h having enough power too spin tire on
rim must be missing something here

Tires that small certainly should want more pressure than that..
At 6-7 lb, I bet they squash down to near Flat during a Pull...

I totally agree Papa, Soft tires are ok if you don't mind giving up 3-4 inches drawbar height. If your spinout marks are caved up in the middle your to soft. Tractors with hundreds of HP don't screw their tires fast, a stock H surely don't have to.

I had a question about when the tires were mounted...
You didn't use Silicone on the tire beads, did you..?
That would be about the only thing I can think of that could allow a bead to slip..
If anything, I would break the beads down and Dust the bead areas with Rosin (Rosin, like Baseball Pitchers use)..
Well, I guess Pine Tar would be an option..!!!

Good luck and Happy Pulling...

We had a 930 case with 18.4-26 rice tires on. Was that way when we got it. Just plowing the tires would creep on the rim till it would pull the stem off the tube. We put screws through from the side into the bead. Solved problem.

IF ya use Really LONG ones they go thru the other side and you only need HALF as many...

How about Gorilla Glue...!!

All these will work, Drag Racers used to screw the beads to the rim too..

Today's Big Pullers are unbelievable..!!

Hey Bock what do you mean a H dose not have enough power to spin tires on the bead.!!!!!!!!!
