What performance coil should I run with electronic ignition?

I'm getting ready to install the Pertronix Electronic Ignition conversion on my 48 M that I am going to use for pulling. Which coil should I use for the best performance, the one offered by Pertronix or a MSD Blaster coil?

The one offered by petronics,If the ohm's different on other coils you will burn up the electronic ign.I know from exeperience.

I have a flame thrower coil and elec ign from pertronix and am running brand new 7mm wires and the spark still bleeds through the wires so I would say the pertronix coil has plenty of spark.

R Pertronix recommends 3.0 ohm coil for 4 and 6 cylinders. Lynn
The Ignitor ignition can be used in conjunction with most ignition coils rated at 1.5 ohms of primary resistance on eight cylinder
engines and 3.0 ohms on four and six cylinder engines. For optimum performance purchase and install the recommended
Flamethrower high performance coil.

Just how much ignition power does a 1500 to 2500 rpm four cylinder need with less than 10 to 1 compression running gasoline?
A bone stock NAPA 3.0 ohm coil and the Pertronix will run a high compression V8 on alcohol at 5500rpm no problem .
If you open up the plug gap to make the pertronix and even a stock NAPA coil work. The factory distributer cap will be cross firing.
Don't waste you bucks just to have a shinny chrome and finned coil to look at.
The sharper/faster voltage and current cut off via the electronic module vs the points will make a stock coil much more powerful.
