I am looking at either a deere 3130 or 3120. Will the 3130 come down to 7000# stock and how far down would the 3120 come down to stock. I would like to get down enough to be able to move some weight around. Any ideas.

A 3130 is a 2840 in USA. Shipping weight is 8200 so you need to lose 2000 lb. 3-point will have to go. Light wheels. Combine front. Lose all the front casting. Weld front on. Rack-pinion from small car to steer.

There is a 3130 that pulls around me every once in a while. It isn't quite the same as a 2840 because you could get an optional turbo on a 3130 where a 2840 is naturally aspirated. The one around here has a turbo and runs 7,000 and I have never seen it lose.

Thanks, Around here in the farm stock they wouldn"t let you lose the front end but on the the 3130 some of them came with pressed wheels and I like the 329cu to the 302 in the 20. I would like to get to about 6500# so I could jockey some weight around for different tracks. The 20 come at about 7600# so I think that would be easy but giving up some cubes. thanks guys

If so keep your front, but take off everything else and weld it on. steer it with a rack-pinion. Look for a 414.
