No parts or refund

50 Farmall

Over the winter I got the idea to add some power to the old M. I found Denny Vollbracht of Vollbracht's Inc. On 3-14-2014 I placed a order for a set of Aries pistons. Followed by a 50% deposit for the parts. I was told it was a 5-6 week turn around. 5 months and countless phone calls later still no parts. I called Nancy with Aries to see why it was taking so long. She informed me the order was never placed. Now he will not answer the phone and the website is down. THANKS

Im not sure but I believe that if you have proof that you sent money and IF the transaction was in different states, you might have a case with "interstate commerce" people. If you have a physical address, if I were you, I"d get up close and personal with them!!

You know that would be a option. I just want the deposit refunded and I will go away. This season is shot at this point anyway to place an order with another company. I was very surprised when his last comment was "this is not how to do business". He was mad I talked to his supplier to get the real story. Nancy with Aries was very sorry for the way I was being treated. She even tried to call him to find out why he has not placed the order and his voice mail was full. I would have her build them for me directly but I don't have all the specs. I'm very disappointed with his position and the fact this is not resolved. I didn't want to start a online battle but what choice do I have? Sorry for the time wasted I just needed to vent and hopefully help anyone else not to get into this same position.

Don't be sorry about being ripped off I personally would take the time and drive to meet buddy and we would ( talk) for about 10 mins then I would have to leave town in a hurry before the cops showed up

Here"s the facts.....yes, the Post Office SHOULD get involved, ..but they will give the run around. Been there. All of that interstate commerce crap isn"t worth the paper its written on. I had an unstlyed B John Deere picked up by a trucker in Colorado 4 years ago....he disconnected his phone number. I contacted the sherriff"s dept & when they finally found him, he said that I abondoned the tractor & he sold it. POOF...B John deere GONE!!!. I would just contact the sherriff"s dept in that area & send them the copy of the the check. More than likely, they will pay them a friendly visit. Also Steve Veldhuizen in Washington St. still owes me $500 for a hot check he sent for some parts. Dummy Me, sent the parts before the check cleared...lol....just throwing that out there.

So I'm not crazy. I really hate having to do this. It should be very simple. I do have the cancelled check from the bank showing he deposited it 3 days after I sent it. It's just a shame when you find a company that sells a product, claims customer service is how they have grown and this is how you are treated. Call, call, call.. use a different phone and he picks right up. NICE. I wonder if his Federated church family would like to know how the bus driver treats paying customers? If you want please give him a call at 402-564-5993. It rings his cell phone or stop in 275 Road D Columbus, Nebraska. Maybe he won't hook another check from good people trying to order pulling parts. I think the Police is the next call for theft. Maybe they will stop in for a visit. Once again thanks fellow pullers for the time.

I had a guy try to stiff me on a title one time. I bought a drag bike and had it shipped from kansas. I got the bike no problem but shortly after it was received he stopped answering his phone. He never mailed me the title. I called him twice a day and left a voicemail each time for about 3 months. I always called at the same times too. He got tired of hearing from me and sent me the title.

if it says on your check what it was for then go to the police where he lives and file charges .

Is this the Vollbracht's outside Columbus,NE or maybe Rogers, NE address? If so, I will be driving past there this coming Friday. I didnt think they were open any more???? Jeff

Just take it as a loss. Getting mad and violent just causes trouble in the end. There are many good people out there who know those Farmalls and can give good advice and get parts. Getting mad and knocking the heck out of somebody even though they deserve it costs thousands of dollars. There are many honest people out there it is a shame that a few bad ones do that. Just my opinion. Take the loss and do everything the legal way.

I agree. That is my only real option seeing how he knows I"m a 1,000 miles away. He may have taken me but I hope someone who is thinking about doing business will read this and think about it first. I thought a well known business on the net and forums would stand behind his word and his name to make it right. But like you said a few bad apples spoil the bunch.

I"m glad you said something because I called him a couple of weeks ago looking for 4 1/4 over haul kits for a 450. And was looking to buy parts off of him. But I had a run of bad blocks so held off ordering anything thank goodness. If any of you guys know where we could get other parts please let us know.

JT this was my experience. I don"t know if they are still in business since the website is down now. He said no problem when I placed the order but then after weeks of calling to check the status of the order it turned around to you need to stop calling and we will get around to it. I hope it helped you make a decision to look else where for your parts. I decided to put mine back together with new rings on the old pistons and bearings from Tisco. Minus my lost deposit$$$$. I have a local dealer who orders all my stock IH parts. I hope I saved you from sending a deposit on parts you might never receive.

(quoted from post at 22:05:26 08/08/14) Over the winter I got the idea to add some power to the old M. I found Denny Vollbracht of Vollbracht's Inc. I ,too, was taken by this so-called business. I sent him a check of well over half the amount plus sent him a Farmall 350 crank to be stroked. After 4-5 phone calls, with him telling me it'll be a few more weeks, what a liar. After reading/hearing about his business, with never getting any response from him, I figured I had been taken. I run a business, a honest business, and I know this isn't right. I got a hold of my local postal inspector. She is sending me the paperwork to fill out . I asked her if anything will be done about it. She said that it is put into the federal system for the inspectors to look at. The more complaints that are filed on the business, the better chance we have of a response. Maybe it won't happen right away, maybe a few years down the road, but eventually he'll have to answer for it. We may never see our money again, but we can try and make sure he won't do it to someone else. Thou shall not steal, and for being a Christian , he sure isn't obeying the Ten Commandments. Fraud or stealing, to me is the same. He stoled my hard earned money.
