JD 720 hitch

hi guys, i pull a 720 in the farm stock classes and they allow 20" hitch height but in the rules say suppose to be factory hitch, not sure how much they enforce that rule tho. currently my height is around 18". any one have ideas on how to get it higher and still look acceptable? already have bent drawbar turned up, what else can i do?

thanks

Does it need to be higher? Most the time, its best to keep the front end down. If you have it at 18 it should do fine there. Higher isn't always better, if it causes the front to come up you loose all you added!

Instead of a Clevis, use a bolt on "D" ring. Then use heavy wall 2" sq tubing as a spacer between the stock drawbar and the d ring.

Hammer strap to raise the hitch height.
You want max hitch height if the front end is light or not. The higher the hitch, the more weight carried by the drawbar instead of that weight dragging on the track.
If the front end is rising. Shorten the drawbar , then more tractor ballast forwards.
