5-3 Power Block in a '50 B

Will a 5-3 powerblock work in a 1950 John Deere B? If so what needs done to make it work? Was told it would work and got the tractor apart and the block back from the machine shop on the bench and just got a call saying it wouldn't work. I'm not home right now so I can't look at it myself. Thanks for the replys!

Don't know for shure on the crankcase may be able to drill bottom holes I think the top 4 will line up not shure on oil passage to head. You will need to use 50 cylinder head it has 10 studs will also need to modify the top of the frame rails for exhaust manifold

If it is a pressed frame b with a straight 6 speed not the high/low twin stick it will fit. 5-3 power blocks where designed for the latest model b's and 50's. Just like with the A's I have an A and a 60 both have the 6-3 power blocks in them.
