Sleeve puller

Oliver Twist

Can anyone tell me WHO makes a sleeve puller that will fit the 3 3/4 oliver sleeves to pull them?? I have heard that some of the 3 finger pullers have interference with the block. Is this correct??

You do! Make it with the bottom beefy to break the sleeves loose, then something that will clear the block to bring it on up.

If you aren't going to use them again, I would just
weld on them on the inside. doesn't matter how you
do it. It will shrink them and will pull out with
your hands. Vic

If the engine was out of the tractor and thus, the crankshaft was out also, I could do that but I doubt very seriously if I could work around the throws of the crankshaft to hit the sleeve.

Turn the crank to make room, once they move about 3/4" you can lift them right out. Use a piece of 2"x2" oak about 12 inches long. Good luck, Chuck

This is a homemade one, I will try and post a pic

Hey, That looks like it would work GREAT. I suppose I will just have to try to make one. I have broken all the oak staves I could find and only got ONE sleeve to come out.

There you go! Like I said make one. But the part that will pull it up through doesn't have to be the part that breaks it loose. I used some very heavy stock to break it loose, then cut a close tolerance piece to pull it up through.
