I am sixty five years young and I go to a number of pulls with two tractors, a small one and a big one. Sometimes the classes run a little out of the normal order resulting in a few bounces up and down in weight. I went to a fair pull today, and after getting home, I totaled up all the weight shifts, and came up with 7,500 lbs that I shifted, 100 lbs at a time. I keep telling myself as I do it that it is good exercise and that I will live a longer healthier life as a result. Anyone else as old shifting as much?

Not quiet that much but after cancer surgery he really hurts now or causes discomfort and I would really like to sale my tractor but until that happens its still in the shop

showcrop, 68 here. Me & grandson usually take 2 to pulls, 4 if local. Can't do too well with 100#'s, ok with 40# & 70#. Usually find young bucks that are happy to help.

I am 67 and take one tractor and have no help. I have been through several back surgeries and multiple back injections.I move about a 1,000 lbs and have made brackets to accept bar bell weights 25-45 lbs.which aren't to bad to handle.

There is a fella around here I think he is 87 that pulls a few classes and prolly throws 2000#s. He has homemade weights that weigh 25-50#. Ive offered to help him but he says if he cant throw his own weights he shouldnt be pulling and wont let me help. I greatly respect people like this!

I will be 73 this month. I usually take 3 tractors to about 6 pulls a year. I pull one 6K through 8k and another one 8K through 10K. I throw 2k for each one. The hardest part is unloading the weight all at once. Putting it back on is easier at 1k per class. RR

Im only 52 fake hip and back bad enough to qualify for disability my sons and I pull a JD A 4430 ,4010 seems like every time weighs need to be moved l can't find anyone around. But I can't be to upset they are usually working for our pulling club helping to put on the show. Guess it won't kill me.but all those years of pulling teats have caught up

Here in the next two weeks our fair season his high gear. We'll pull 3 tractors in weights from 4000 to 12000. I'm under 40, but my back can cause me trouble at times and lay me up for a week or two at a time. Throwing the weights doesn't help I'm sure. I'm looking to get a bunch of 50 lb weights plasma cut in 3/4" plate cut to the profile of IH 100 lb suitcase weights. I might be able to get some cut if anyone is interested. I don't have a cost nailed down yet. Send email if anyone is interested. I'm in central PA.
