Farmall 450 upgrades on a budget

stack em up

Ok, so Ive decided to overhaul the 450 gas I have, and while Im at it, would like to offset grind the crank to up the cubes a touch. How far can I go before I have to start spending cubic dollars? Im not looking for a blow your socks off, but something to help with the lower end torque. I need lots of help as Ive never built a Farmall puller before. Thanks people!

It all depends on what classes you intend to pull and what speed. If you are pulling with people who are totally farm stock it is simple and there are very few of them out there. There is no budget when you get out of a stock farm class everybody has more and to compete more cubic inches are required. If you dont want to spend some dollars just over haul it with and tune it in correct on a dyno and have some fun.
