Use a belly bar or just split weight with front and rear?

When adding 3000 lbs for my heaviest class, would a belly bar help? I'm running a short F340 with wheel weights and a front bracket extended 24" from the grill as per the rules.

I can switch out wheel weights for suit case weights on the belly bar but would that have any leverage advantage for the front end? Right now I spin out every time and have yet to power out.

Are you having trouble keeping the front end down?
If your nose isn't getting light you need to move more to the back. If you're nose isn't getting light you can switch wheel weight for suit case and put it in the back if you have room. 3000 lbs is alot of added weight for a small tractor.

What classes and rules are you pulling? What gear? 1st, 2nd? Mph?

Every tractor is different, but the rules of physics and weight transfer still apply.

For example I took my 4430 to a pull on friday, its a small place that has their own sled, 5 mph pace. With the bigger tractors, 11,500 and 13,500 they let the chain out longer so your not transferring as much pull down from the sled pan and they can stop you. So you pull the drawbar out a few holes and put as much weight on the rear as you can. When we put 2000 on to make the next class we put 16 on the back and 4 in the middle. I'd say it picked the nose up about 6-8" when it started hooking and put about 15 ft on the class. Go to another pull with a NTPA style sled and put the drawbar all the way in and split the weight half/half with the rear and middle.
