To change an Oliver 88 engine to the Super 88 engine, does one simply change the sleeves and pistons? No opening of the block to do this? Will the sleeves come out with the motor in the tractor?

dont stop there it will only get you a few more horse go atleast with a mw kit of 3and7/8 bore will drop right in no machining required korves bros has them or bolt in a 320 or 310 for about the same money

It depends on if they need boring or not and I still haven't found out if the engine needs to be taken out of the frame to replace the sleeves. Perhaps send me your phone or e-mail and I can find out more as you seem to have been into one.

I like to start in the 4500 and go up from there. My larger rear tires now is using lots of power and I struggle in 5500. I'm not going to spend a mint on it.

you can find them in michigan payloaders and oilfield power units i have found afew 320 in these applications, i pretty much got the ones i found for 500 -750 but were non running engines about half of them need going over and the other ones were good engines just needing tlc. to get running, hit every junk yard you can find and ask around ,with the oldtimers they know who had one in the old days
