Blackburn cam

I put one of Josh's cams in my A and man that thing pulls better now. It's a completely different beast now. I've only got 4 passes with the new cam but it's running really strong. Price was reasonable turn around was quick and Josh is super nice to talk to. Just thought I would pass along some good feedback for everyone.
Thanks a million Josh!

Thanks guys. Glad I could help. Just had a customer give
me some Dyno results on one of his projects. Stock stroke
730 gas with .125 over bore, cam and carb I bored for him
pulling 79 hp and still not quite rich enough.

What were the numbers on the G? And is it stock stroke? What bore size? I have a fairly stock 67 hp G. No stroking, flat head, aluminum high compression .090 over. How much could I gain with a cam setup?

I've wondered if opening the tight spot in the Venturi causes enough reduction in velocity/vacuum that it has trouble pulling enough fuel up? A bigger carb would not have this issue because the size difference between the Venturi & throat is still greater, Unless it was severely oversized. Any thoughts?

We have a stock stroke 5" B with his cam that pulls real hard
on the top end. I just finished a stock stroke 4.69" B with the
same compression & valve size, & a "puller" cam grind from
another shop that does not pull nearly as hard. They both idle
real nice. There are a few other differences, but those may get
eliminated soon. It carries the front in 2nd gear for about 50', in
6500# class, with 750# 11 feet ahead of the axle. It's 220
cubes.

Hey Josh, should i tell them what my little B that you built is putting out on the dyno? lol I did find a few more horses playing w/the carb since we last spoke.
