spark plugs

We ran D16 champions in our 49 JD A. The chart that I have a D16 is now 516, AC is C86 and Autolite is 3035. The UD16 is now 555 and AC is C87 and Autolite is 3035. Maybe this will help you???

Since I started using Autolite 3116's in my John Deere A and G's 4 years ago I haven't had to change a plug. (mag and distributor ignitions). Before then the resistor Autolites and those worthless Cahmpions had me changing plugs pretty often.

Try champion d89d igniter plugs. They fire much better then any standard type plug and don't foul nearly as easily. Very pricey but are like night and day difference. Usually not a stock Item but any good parts store can special order. Check clearance as they will protrude into the combustion chamber. Tractor will start easier and idle smoother.
