Good morning from West Alton IL

Morning folks, great crowd of tractors here, expecting between 175-250 hooks, it's too early to tell. Coverage in July HOOK.

Unofficial update: The pull took 11 hours and 15 minutes to complete. The last 45 minutes were in the dark so the pace slowed down. Most of the day we averaged 27 to 28 hooks an hour. We had a few trucks with the headlights on to help and the lights on the tractors. We knew that crowd was going to be large so we lowered the max hooks from 5 to 4. At one time we had 307 hooks signed up. That number went down as the day went on because some people had to leave. We know that we had over 275 hooks but we don"t have a total yet. For the last 3+ hours I ran the sled which left Megan running the announcers stand by herself. She did a great job, but it will take a little time to get the paperwork straightened out for exact totals. I hope to have this by Friday. I also want to say Thank You to everyone who volunteered to help with the pull. Especially the spectators that were watching that we put into service. I won"t mention any names because I don"t want to leave anyone out. I just wanted to say Thank You. And Thanks Bryan for coming out and giving our pull some great coverage.

Bryan....SMH. Making a little mistake like that. ;) lol. J/K. Biggest THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO VOLUNTEERED! It doesnt matter if we have 50 hooks a day or 307 hooks, the volunteers are what makes this pull run well. And everyone who helped did an excellent job and I hope you realize how much your time and efforts are appreciated!!! We had a lot of new (to RPTPA) pullers who came out and we had lots of fun and I hope y'all can make it to our other pulls. Next one is June 15.

Gene said if I put a 327 combine motor in my Massey 65 it would be legal because it came out of a Massey combine. May also put a Perkins diesel in a 44 if I can find one. Or dose it depend on who you are.

I heard my buddy John just needed a 135 Massey to get the job done. Wish I wasn't committed Sunday. I would have liked to see it pull. LOL Vic

To LCB I said I guess if you have a 4 cyc tractor and the company made a 4 cyc combine engine it would probaly be ok but no V-8 in a 4 cyc tractor. We may get into the discussing the Red Diamond, 466 non turbo's but it won't be this year. As far as your tractor have thought maybe a sprung shifting fork? You are not getting crankie because my little H got to you are you? WILDMAN Good Day
