2001 pt cruiser.

I know this doesn't have anything to do with tractors. There are a lot of good mechanics on this site. I took today off work and this afternoon started changing a water pump on a 2.4 engine in a pt cruiser. I build engines everyday and this is the worst job ive ever got involved in. If any of you have ever done one of these how long has it took to do it. After 4 hours I got it tore apart and the cams back in time and the timing belt back in time. probably 3 more hours left to get everything else put back together. If any of you guys have done one how long has it took you. The worst job I have ever done in my entire life. And I have worked on a lot of engines and cars and different things.

They are a bear thats for sure ! I did one in my driveway and it took me most all day as well. Some guys say it is quicker and easier to pull the motor. I know I used to be able to drop a neon motor out in about 1 hour back when I used to work on cars. Pt cruiser and neon are the same platform so I wouldnt be surprised if it is in fact quicker to pull it.

I dont buy cars I cant work on, for the most part, easily.
Thats why I have a 2wd 05 Trailblazer, and a 97 Dodge Cummins 5 speed.
I hear stories like this and thats all I need to hear cause I know I'll be working on it at some point or another.
