Has anybody else ran a muffler on there puller? And where is the best place to get a 3500 rpm tach for a diesel? Thanks

I pull my Farmall 450 gas in stock farm class and run a muffler. Last fall I cleaned up the muffler and baked on a ceramic coating. My muffler is is a baffeled muffler and it gets hotter than a straight through. So we will see how well the ceramic coating holds up. Sorry can't help you with with out knowing if tractor all ready has a tach drive or not.

I have heard of HP gains as much as 7-10 horse on the dyno with the correct muffler. Look in Jeg"s or Summit website. 5000rpm diesel tach is about 145$.

I got this one from Fair Valley Performance in Sauk City, WI. With the chrome mounting cup and magnetic pickup I think it was around $200 (maybe more, I don't remember for sure) but it works awesome. If you have a diesel, I've heard a muffler is a bad thing, you want a diesel to breathe, although most times the exhaust flows better than the intake.
