Post your pictures

Okay, I'll get the ball rolling. Post your pics.

I'm thinking about 1.5 mph at stock rated rpms.
I want to bump rpms up a little, as the rules allow 700 pto rpms, and its only at 540 right now.
Bumping to ~700rpms will give me about 2000 rpms and probably ~2mph.
For comparison, a "normally" geared H would be well into 3mph at 2000 rpms I think.

Here's mine with new paint this winter. Minus front tires, belly bar and custom decals. Sheet metal is just sitting on in this pic.

Nice looking old allis. How does it pull and what classes do you pull it in? Any big engine modifications? Which do you think is a better option, wd45 or d17?

I have the original 77 head and block. It is only pushed to 352 cid as the pulls I compete in allow open rpm. I can compete from 3,500 to about 6,000 where I run out of weights to add.

No mods, it still has the original 4" pistons in it. It pulls and works as a living so it has to stay stock
I win a few with it but it does OK as is.
The D17 is heavy on the front and it is hard to make rear weight holders for it unless you remove the PTO housing. I load it up with wheel weights and go at it.
Hi/Lo has an advantage but I think a WD45 is better as you can adjust the weight more easily and get it in lighter classes.

At least you can use that cam nose for training purposes if you teach someone how to degree a cam.

Bent rods seam to be a common theme coming from pank's cranks. Are those Buda rods in the picture? Reminds me of other pictures I seen.

Just rember we still want to see the Gleason!
