41 B John Deere

I was wondering about how much increase in horsepower I might expect after I get done going thru the motor on my 1941 B? It is 4.5" +.125 over and is going to have high compression M & W style pistons in it.

It does have the DLTX 34 carb on it right now and it also has the gas intake. I'm thinking of putting roller rockers into it but not sure if I want to spend the extra money on a tractor that is going to spend most of its time on the farm with a couple of plow days and maybe a pull or two each year.

The 125 overbore adds almost zero hp, very hard if not
impossible to find on a dyno, & the "high compression" mw
pistons may add 10-15% altogether. You had 16hp on a good
day before, so add maybe 2hp, I doubt you'll break 20hp. I
hope you aren't boring & spending this work & money solely
for hp gain, it takes major mods to get big gains, & lots of $

Well to me 16 horse on a good day out of an 18 horse tractor doesn't sound like much of a good day.
If it didn't need an overhaul I wouldn't spend any money on it.
